Creating artwork can generate a lot of material waste. However, as much as possible the materials I use are recycled. The majority of my shipping boxes and all of my plastic bubble wrap is reused from other packaging.
My favorite linen is purchased from an independent women-owned business here in the US, and my paints are all water-soluble to lessen the use of harmful solvents traditionally used with oil paint. Even the dropcloths and paint rags I use here in the studio are old sheets or dish towels that can no longer serve their originally intended purpose.
